New Wedding Processional Music
by Michael Reid Winikoff

Processional music (the wedding march) may well be thought of as the musical centerpiece of your wedding,  It can fulfill two purposes:  to accompany the entrance of immediate family and friends of the bride and groom, and to announce and acclaim the entrance of the bride herself.  Wedding marches may be quietly stately, or more overtly jubilant (most appropriately for the bride's entrance).  In many situations, such as in a more intimately scaled event, one piece of music might serve both functions, wheras in a larger venue with a larger wedding party, a new musical thought for the bride will be more feasible and effective.
